Transfer Week
Hello Everyone!
So I will be staying at the Tajmahill for yet another transfer! There will be some changes, however. I will be training a new missionary, and we will only be covering one ward instead of two. We will still be keeping the car as well, which is awesome because it continues to rain a lot. I am excited to train. I think it will be a challenge as well though. I dont know the Elder's name or where he is from yet. I will find out tomorrow when he arrives.
Elder Lualemaga will be heading up to Yakima. I will miss him as a companion. It has been an extremely good, productive, fun and spiritual two transfers. We will be going hiking later today to some waterfall or something. I will make sure to email pics of that next week as well as pics of me and my new companion!
Trees by Lacamas Lake (I went there on exchanges this week)
I had a few things I thought about this week that I miss from home:
1. Costco pizza and Andy Griffith
2. Shoveling Snow with Dad and David (even seeing snow!)
3. Work
4. Mowing the lawn
5. Mom's Cooking
Thats not all that I miss but those are the things I thought of this past week:)
I pray for all of you daily. I hope that you all enjoy the next week:)

Time Flies! ha ha it seems like I say that Every week:) But its true...
So this past week I attended Leadership Training. It was a very good experience. I enjoyed the spirituality of it as well as learning more of my responsibilities as a leader in the mission feild. I have also been going on Exchanges so I have been able to serve in different areas than just mine. Elder Lualemaga and I continue to lead the Zone in teaching which is pretty cool. We will be sad to be most likely splitting up this transfer. There are 20 new missionaries coming in next week and my guess is that at least one of us, if not both of us will be training this upcoming transfer which will mean that one of us for sure will be leaving this area. My guess is that it will be me since I have been here for longer than he has. I will let you know what is going to happen next week! I would like to stay in this area but I am fine with going anywhere.

Zone Conference
Everything continues to go well in the mission feild. Time is flying! I can't beleive its the 25th already! I'm almost 6 months out! I can definitely do this 3 more times:)
Things as district leader are going really well. I enjoy serving there. We will be having DL training Thursday and Friday. I am looking forward to this because I have been District leader for 9 weeks without having any traning! Still no snow yet, just a lot of rain! I love you all! Elder Bowen

"Luck Is when Preparation Meets Opportunity"
So we thought that last week was good In teaching but this past week was even better. We broke a Zone Record (or at least within the past 7 months because we don't know about furthur back than that) for the amount of lessons taught in a week! We hit 30 and are hoping to do it again this week. Time flies when you are busy and having fun!

Happy New Year!
This picture is of one of the pretier sunsets over the river that we have had...
I can't wait to travel to the coast after the mission and take pics!
New Years for me was good. It didn't feel the same as all the other new years but it was definitely a good way to start one being on a misson. 2011 is the Long haul because the last 5 months went by quick and then the last 8 months in 2012 will go quick but 2011 is the full year! Im sure it will go quick though!
Our area is progressing amazingly! we have been very blessed to have a TON of people to work with and a lot of sucess as well. Cool story... last week we were weekly planning and we had discussed a woman who hadn't been to church in a long time and we were going to go over to her house and see if her children were baptized and if we could teach them. Probably 10 min later we got a phone call from that same woman and she said that she wanted to start coming to church again and that she wanted her kids to be baptized as soon as possible! We will start teaching them soon and I'll let you know how it goes.

My favorite Pic of Elder L and I (taken Christmas Eve)
The shoes we got for Christmas from the HillsI will still be companions with Elder Lualemaga as well! I am glad that I am still able to stay here because I really enjoy the area and the people that we are teaching. I am also glad because I don't have to take the time to pack all my stuff up and
I still get to stay at the Tajmahill! ha ha I am still District Leader and the only change to our district is that we now will have sister missionaries in it. I hope that 2010 ends well for you all and that 2011 starts well!
