Another Busy, Cold, Awesome Week...

Dear Family,

This past week was a busy one and we have another big week coming up...  On Friday I was in Pendleton on exchanges with the Zone Leaders there and it was super cold.  The tri-cities have been covered in a dense, freezing fog that has been hard to deal with.  We have had to be really careful on the roads, as we have traveled.  Last Saturday after we got back from Pendleton we drove to The Dalles to be part of a priesthood meeting at their stake conference.  Elder Brinkerhoff of the 70 was presiding there and it was cool to get to meet him and talk with him.  He had us bear our testimonies and talk about our missions in front of the Aaronic Priesthood holders of The Dalles stake.  Elder Williams and I then drove back to the tri-cities to pick up Elder Gudjenov (we left him behind with another elder so that he could go to church in our area and say bye to everyone since he goes home this Friday).  We then drove up to Yakima with the Greers for a recent convert fireside.  It was cool to be able to ride in the car with them and to get to know some of their stories and get their advice on different things.  I look up to them a lot and look forward to continuing to serve with them.  It was altogether a really good, but long day!

Oregon takes littering seriously... as you can see

This was actually one of the clearer spots on the freeway!

The Fog made for slow driving but for good photography! On the way back from the Dalles we stopped by a tree farm and took a couple pictures.  Everything outside was covered in Ice for days and days but yesterday it cleared up a bit.  It is still super cold though!

Tomorrow we are leaving to vancouver after doing a training here in Richland.  Then we will be driving right back thursday anternoon so we have have Elder Gudjenov back in time for his friday morning flight!

Love you all and thanks again!  I will keep you in my prayers!

Love,
Elder Matt Bowen
